Covid-19 Update, What We Are Doing
Fraser Valley Heating has always put customer satisfaction and crew safety as our top operating priority. In light of the recent pandemic and rise in COVID-19 cases, we want to assure you that we are taking appropriate measures and following best practices for sanitation, cleanliness, and social responsibility. Our doors remain open and we will continue to operate in full capacity for the foreseeable future. We will constantly be proactive with adjustments and changes to our procedures and policies, always in the best interest of company and public safety. We are also asking our customers to assist to help keep you and our employees safe and healthy.
WHAT POLICIES HAS FRASER VALLEY HEATING IMPLEMENTED TO HELP PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19?
SOCIAL DISTANCING AND NO-TOUCH POLICY
⦁ We have always valued the professionalism and respect of a good introductory handshake. However, during this time, we will forego traditional greetings and practice the 6’ social distancing recommendation. We have implemented a company-wide policy to eliminate all unnecessary physical contact among both customers and crew. We ask that this policy is respected, and customers practice the same. Please try and avoid being in the same room and/or in close proximity with the crew as they perform their duties.
INCREASED CLEANING
⦁ We have increased the frequency and focus of cleaning duties in our office and trucks. Our crews will be provided with disinfectants and cleaning supplies for both company and personal use. They will be performing pre and post job routines to clean the interiors of trucks, equipment, phones/tablets, and frequently touched surfaces. We kindly ask that prior to the arrival of our crew that you also disinfect door handles and frequently touched surfaces.
PROTECTIVE GEAR
⦁ Protective gloves and masks have been issued to all workers. Our crews will wear these as much as possible, as long as they do not create a safety hazard in doing so. HVAC is a very physical job. Grip, vision, balance, and breathing are integral aspects of safety.
EDUCATION
⦁ We are making continuous daily efforts to educate our customers and staff, keeping everyone up to date with the latest developments and recommendations from the Provincial Health Officer.
PRE-APPOINTMENT TEAM MEMBER WELLNESS CHECK
⦁ Any team member showing symptoms of illness or is thought to have been in contact with an infected person will be excused from their shift and/or sent home. We have sanitary measures in place to check temperatures when requested. All employees will have access to hand cleaning and sanitary supplies. Hygiene is being taught and promoted with the utmost importance.
HOW YOU CAN HELP BE PREPARED ON APPOINTMENT DAY?
PRE-APPOINTMENT CUSTOMER WELLNESS CHECK
⦁ On arrival, our crew we will inquire if anyone in the household feels ill, or suspects that they have come in contact with an infected person. Services can be canceled or postponed to mitigate risk and ensure safety.
FRASER VALLEY HEATING RESERVES THE RIGHT TO POSTPONE OR CANCEL ANY SCHEDULED SERVICES IF INFECTION CONCERNS ARE PRESENT
KEEPING YOUR DISTANCE
⦁ Along with not shaking hands, we ask that our customers try and maintain their distance while the crew is working. After initial walk-through and directions, the crew will have a lot to do. Whenever possible try not to be in the same room. This goes for any family or children that might be at the home during the appointment. We will do our best to provide you with your own space by working from one side of the residence to the other.
We greatly appreciate all your cooperation during these unprecedented times. We truly value your business. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
Thank you for your help and understanding,
